The East — If you’re looking for a quality ski edit to watch this weekend, I’d like to present to you the short film Evergreen.
In Evergreen, Andreya Zvonar explored the East during a memorable and record-breaking snow year.
The edit features everything you want, including a street edit, a powder day through the trees, and then tackling some big-mountain terrain. What takes this to another level is the footage on Katahdin, which you don’t often see in skiing edits. The cinemotagrphy here from Jukebox Films is among the best I’ve seen for a Northeast skiing edit.
The only thing missing from this East Coast edit is waiting 20 minutes for a waffle from the Waffle Cabin because the line is almost as big as the wait for first chair on a powder day. Was the wait worth it? Depends on whether it was undercooked and how far away your car is.
