Mikaela Shiffrin just put down a dominating performance at the opening World Cup slalom event of the season in Levi, Finland, securing her 9th win in Levi and 102nd World Cup win.  Shiffrin clocked in two blistering fast runs and ended up beating second place winner Lara Colturi by a comfortable 1.66 seconds.

30-year-old Shiffrin is off to a banner start to the competition season which will have her heading off to Italy in February to represent Team USA at the Winter Olympics. Levi has a unique tradition of awarding winners their very own reindeer. This is Shiffrin’s 9th reindeer and NBC Olympics decided to celebrate it with this cheeky little homage to her Santa like stable.
