The ski season has begun at Killington.

Great news for New England skiers and snowboarders, two ski resorts have officially opened for the 2025/2026 ski season! Both Sunday River and Killington opened to pass holders today, November 12th, for a day of early access before they open to the public on Thursday, November 13th.

Killington opened to Killington, Beast365 and Ikon Pass Holders with both the K-1 Express Gondola and the North Ridge Quad spinning starting at 9am. 7 total trails are open, 4 of which are groomed, though it’s still limited to advanced terrain only. Skiing will continue today until 3:45pm on the North Ridge Quad.

Sunday River started their season with much more limited terrain exclusively to New England Pass, Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective, and Ticket Pack holders though, like Killington, day ticket sales will return on Thursday, November 13th. The Locke Mountain Triple started spinning at 9am with skiing and snowboarding on T2, though downloading is required from the mid-station. They’re also limited to advanced terrain only.

With cold temperatures in bound, both resorts should have plenty of opportunities to continue cranking out snowmaking and hopefully bring top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding in little to no time at all this season.
