Professional skijoring tour debuting in 2026.

No sport gives off Intermountain West vibes quite like skijoring, and now a brand-new, professional skijor tour is set to bring even more attention and events to the sport across the Rocky Mountains.

Skijoring, for those who don’t know, is sport that combines the grit of cowboys with the daring nature of skiers by having a horse and rider pull a skier at high speed through a course packed with gates, jumps, and rings. The Pro Skijor Frontier Tour is taking the sport to the next level in 2026, with five official events leading up to the 2026 Pro Skijor Wild Frontier Tour Championship Finals in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Several of the skijoring events already exist around the country, but this will be the first year connecting them all together in a professional tour. The tour begins in Utah with the SkiJoring Utah in Herber City, running between January 16th-17th. Then it moves on to Bozeman, Montana, between January 24th-25th, Logan, Utah, between January 30th-31st, Boise, Idaho, between February 6-7th, and Driggs, Idaho, between February 21st-22nd. There will also be an exhibition event in Salt Lake City on February 7th.

The finals will roar into Salt Lake City between February 27th-28th, bringing the best of the best together to crown the tour champions and world champions at the end of the season. $75K in cash, champion buckles, bonus prizes, and ultimate bragging rights are all on the line, so it should be an epic event.
