Banff Sunshine Village kicked off the Canadian ski season on Sunday, November 2nd, and now Lake Louise Ski Resort is set to claim Canada’s second place tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th. With Lake Louise’s opening, 5 ski areas across North America will be open for the 2025/2026 season.

Lake Louise will open with the Juniper Express Chair beginning at 9am tomorrow. That will remain the only lift open until Grizzly Gondola and runs on the upper mountain start spinning toward the end of the week. Early season discounts are currently providing lift tickets for 50% off.

Instructors will be available for lessons to start off the season, and a terrain park with boxes and rails will be open for those hoping to work on their slides. Rentals, retail and the repair shop will also open for the season on Tuesday. Powder Keg Lounge, Lodge of Ten Peaks Cafeteria, and Slopeside Cafe will all be open for food and/or drinks.

As mentioned, Lake Louise will be the second Canadian resort and fifth North American resort open for the 2025/2026 ski season. In Colorado, Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, and Winter Park have all begun spinning their lifts for skiers and snowboarders alike.
