Soelden, Austria โ€” The US Ski & Snowboard Team is off to a great start to the 2025-26 season.

The Audi FIS World Cup season kicked off yesterday in Soelden, Austria. The US Ski Team had many great results, led by Vermonter Paula Moltzan. She finished in second, adding to her various great results from last season. After an injury in November 2024 derailed most of her season, Mikaela Shiffrin also had a great result, finishing in fourth. Additionally, Nina O’Brien had a great result, finishing in sixth place. Other notable finishes for the Americans included Katie Hensen in 12th, AJ Hurt in 13th, and Elisabeth Bocock in 19th.

For Austrians, the crowd went home happy following a sensational duo of runs from Julia Schieb. It was the Austrian’s first-ever World Cup victory. Congrats to Julia!
