Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is full of legendary runs, but none have earned anywhere near the same fame as Corbet’s Couloir. With a 20-foot drop and 50-degree pitch, Corbet’s has become a proving ground for skiers and snowboarders pushing their limits. Plus, with the Ariel Tram cruising right by on its way to the top and crowds gathering at the run’s entrance, it’s near impossible to give it a shot without an audience.
Professional skier Tim Durtschi is no stranger to the legendary run, but Corbet’s in the summer is a bit of a different beast. The Ariel Tram shut down for summer back on October 5th, but Durtschi took advantage of it before its last day to give himself a little Corbet’s Couloir summer adventure. He repelled and climbed along the impressive wall, showing just how steep it really is.
