Canada – While many are still wondering about who the future owner of SilverStar Mountain Resort will be, its current owner continues to invest in improving the on-mountain experience.

Last Week, SilverStar Mountain Resort revealed what projects they’re working on this offseason. The most notable addition will be new glades between Aunt Gladys and Just Dandy on the Backside terrain pod. The new terrain will be known as the Dandy Glades. While not technically a terrain expansion, as it was already part of the inbounds network, it will allow more people to explore this area of trees.

Other notable additions include the slashing of more than 20 trails (resulting quicker opening and better snow coverage), three new snow groomers with LiDAR technology, mowing terrain, new signage, and repainted rails.

SilverStar also had some summer upgrades. The most notable one was the addition of a new 36-space campground. Situated next to SilverStar Road, this new campground includes sites for tents, trucks, and RVS. This is the ski resort’s second campground, but SilverStar also features lodging options for those who prefer an environment with heat and air conditioning.

SilverStar For Sale

In August 2024, POWDR sold Killington to a group of local investors. In addition, the outdoor industry company announced that it would be selling Eldora, Mt. Bachelor, and SilverStar. POWDR decided against selling Mt. Bachelor, but it’s selling Eldora to the Town of Nederland. SilverStar is reportedly still on the market, with talks ongoing. However, it remains unclear when the sale could happen or who the interested parties may be.
