Brattleboro, Vermont โ After a series of mechanical issues created challenges during the 2024-25 season, a non-profit Vermont ski hill is asking for help.
Last week, the Brattleboro Ski Hill started a fundraiser for some big projects. The big project needed is to find a replacement for its snow groomer. As it stands, its current snow groomer is inoperable. This means they’ll likely need a new or used groomer.
The second project involves upgrading their snowmaking systems. While they plan to partner with Stratton again to borrow snowmaking guns, the ski area’s own equipment, which runs without compressed air, is in need of upgrades. The ski hill is looking at buying, renting, or leasing new or used equipment.
The third needed project is regarding its sole lift: the T-Bar. The electronics of the T-Bar will need to be upgraded, with an estimated cost of $70,000. This project is described by the ski hill as a longer-term goal.
Brattleboro Ski Hill’s short-term goal is to raise $5,500, but they’re aiming to raise more money for that due to the potential need for a new groomer and the needed lift renovations down the road. Click here to donate.
Opened back in 1937, Brattleboro Ski Hill has been a local feeder hill for decades. It’s run by Living Memorial Park Snow Sports, which is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. With lift tickets being only $5, itโs hard to beat that value. The T-bar services a few trails plus a terrain park. Last winter, its snowmaking was improved thanks toย Stratton’s assistance, whichย included loaning the ski hill two snowmaking guns. The ski hill typically operates on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays.
