This week, various Australian ski resorts saw some deep powder during the middle of the week, leading to soft snow and more terrain and lift openings. According to Mountainwatch, two cold and snowy fronts resulted in 25-45 centimeters (9.84 to 17.72 inches) of snow. This follows a sensational start to the season, with media outlets calling it their best start in years.

Some snow is also possible in the days ahead, with Mountainwatch predicting another round of snow arriving on Sunday night.
