A Cessna 180J floatplane carrying four people crashed Saturday July 5, 2025 at around 2:30pm near Brooks Camp, a world famous grizzly bear viewing area, at Katmai National Park.

All 4 people on board survived and were transported to an Anchorage area hospital with non-critical injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown and is under active mutli-agency investigation. We will be sure to update when the investigation is complete.
