A search for a missing 61-year-old hiker is currently underway in Shenandoah National Park.
National Park Rangers received reports of the missing hiker on the evening of July 5th, 2025. Robert Bieri was last seen off-trail near Lewis Falls wearing a short-sleeved red shirt, green shorts, a fanny pack, glasses, and tennis shoes. He is 5’10”, 205 pounds, and has grey hair and brown eyes.
A full-scale search operation was activated late in the evening of July 5th led by Shenandoah National Park Search and Rescue personnel with assistance from Virginia Department of Emergency Management and Virginia State Police.
