Red Bull sponsored mountain biker Fabio Wibmer has made a career for himself doing things on two wheels that make your average person squeamish just to watch. Growing up in Austria, Fabio began honing his balance on his bike at a young age and his untold hours of practice have created a seemingly supernatural confidence in his capabilities. While most people would get dizzy peering over the edge of the Barrage de Castillon dam in southern France (330 feet tall) it didn’t faze Fabio hop on the ledge and ride across it:
“When people say they don’t really understand why I do what I do—especially when it involves high consequences—it’s hard to explain. But for me, I grew up doing stunts and riding on walls like this, so it feels completely natural. It’s honestly one of the easiest things I do, and I feel 150% comfortable doing it. It doesn’t feel like a big deal. When I’m riding, I can just focus and blur out everything to the right or left of me—it’s just me and what’s in front.” -Fabio Wibmer
Red Bull may give you wings but a parachute would be more appropriate for this stunt.
