Construction crews are hard at work at Utah’s Deer Valley Ski Resort installing what will be the most advanced snowmaking system in North America when it is complete.
Deer Valley Snowmaking Manager Brett Hawksford was kind enough to take a few minutes out his busy schedule to provide an update on the massive project which will include over 1,200 new snow guns, 350,000 feet of snowmaking pipe, 3 new pump houses and a new 10-million-gallon snowmaking pond.
The snowmaking upgrade is just one aspect of the Deer Valley’s Expanded Excellence initiative which is described as “a transformative expansion designed to evolve the resort experience for future generations of guests.” Learn more about all the changes coming to the iconic ski resort including the addition of 3,700 acres of skiable terrain here and enjoy the following progress update video:
