Visiting Corbet's Couloir in the summer.

Corbet’s Couloir at Jackson Hole has seen its fair share of history, from iconic crashes to unbelievable sends. Every year it hosts one of the coolest freeride skiing and snowboarding competition, Kings and Queens of Corbet’s, an event that consistently features incredible firsts.

In 2020, Jake Hopfinger sent the competition’s first double backflip on skis, immediately followed up by Parkin Costain sending the same trick. It marked a historic moment for the competition, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on the iconic run.

Parkin Costain and Jake Hopfinger recently revisited the site of their historic backflips on mountain bikes, taking a look at the unbelievable couloir without snow. Then they continued down Jackson Hole on the legendary Deer Jumps trail.

Every year the competition is getting wilder and wilder, with younger and younger athletes throwing some mind-bending airs. Is a triple backflip possible? We’ll just have to wait and see.
