Be prepared to cringe…

Bull elk are extremely unpredictable during rutting season, and the guy in this video was practically asking to be gored by the elk’s huge antlers which can extend up to 5 feet! Not to mention that Bull elks can charge at speeds up to 35 mph. That is 8 mph faster than the fastest time ever set by a human runner – Usain Bolt ran 27.28 mph at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

There are over 60,000 elk in Canada and many of them can be found in places like Banff National Park where they are hunted by wolves and cougars. With predators like that and human with a cellphone is a joke.

Thank goodness he backed away, but maybe he should do a little research before shoving a cellphone in a bull elk’s face next time he visits…

“Im just here to remind you that Bull Elk are incredibly unpredictable and aggressive at this time of year. Stay in your car and never approach them.”
