Australia gets major snow dump to kickoff ski season

The ski season in Australia is off to an incredible start as blizzard conditions have swept across ski resorts in NSW and Victoria over the weekend. Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria is the big winner reporting 51cm storm total while Perisher is showing around 35cm and Thredbo 26cm. The early season influx of snow is the biggest in years and we couldn’t be happier for skiers and snowboarders down under.

The winter blast may not be over in Australia as a low pressure system is developing off the coast of Victoria which could continue to deliver snow to the high country with as much as 70cm predicted at elevation by Tuesday.
