There are plenty of tricks that are possible on jet skis. Beginners can usually accomplish basic donuts, figure eights, or small wake jumps, while the hardcore experts might be throwing front or backflips. And then there’s whatever this guy was attempting.
With a camera pointed in his direction, this guy lies down in the foot well of his jet ski while keeping one hand on the handlebars. He’s actually quite successful at the trick itself, staying in that position for a good several seconds. It’s when he tries to sit back down on the jet ski that everything goes wrong. You can see him just slightly twitch the handlebars which seems to have led to the wipeout.
If you’re going to ride a jet ski, make sure you do so with an understanding of basic jet ski safety. Stay sober, wear a life jacket, make sure you’re connected to the kill switch lanyard, and keep your hands, feet, hair and clothing away from the pump intake. Ensure you know your state’s jet ski rules and laws before getting on the water.
