Many ski lodges seem to share one major problem: the bathrooms are always downstairs. This doesn’t impact snowboarders that much, but us skiers have to *cachunk cachunk* our way down the stairs in our bulky ski boots, doing our best to stay balanced while feeling a desperate need to make it into the bathroom.
Some European ski lodges have found a unique fix to this problem, like this building at Zillertal Arena in Austria. Rather than forcing skiers to clop their way down the stairs, they just installed a slide to make changing floors significantly more fun.
The one concern would be how this might impact your ski gear. Metal and fabric don’t always run together all that well and you might find some hotspots or wholes in your jacket/snow pants after a ride to the toilets.
