Join professional mountain biker Lewis Buchanan as he makes a heart pounding descent down a massive stair set on the banks of the Oise river in Cergy-Pontoise, France.

“Wow…This felt crazy!!! Bombing down as fast as I could made this even more gnarly and I had to be so aware that no one was coming up the stairs, there was a window of it looking clear of people so I went for it! The sound of the tyres on the concrete is super satisfying too.” -Lewis Buchanan

The stairs are part of a monumental art structure called “Axe Majeur” designed by sculptor Dani Karavan in the 1980s. The project took over two decades to complete and an estimate cost of €38 million.
