Killington Resort just announced they will be closed Wednesday through Friday this week after rain and warm weather took a heavy tool on their snowpack. Lifts are spinning today and they will re-open Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If the current weather pattern persists this may be the last weekend of season as their operational plan is “to be determined”:

“Mother Nature has taken its toll on a few key areas of terrain, but we are committed to extending the season for as long as possible. In an effort to preserve snow, Killington will be closed Wednesday, May 7th through Friday, May 9th to give our grooming team the opportunity to work their magic on the hill and ensure we are able to keep skiing and riding this weekend. We plan to reopen on Saturday. As a bonus, Midweek passholders will be able to ski and ride this weekend! We hope to see you on the slopes.”

KILLINGTON CONDITIONS REPORT (May 6th, 2025):

Rise and Shred, Beast Fans!

Because of the effort and expertise of our Mountain Ops team, we are now the only resort still open in the East! However, the constant rain and warm temps have taken a serious toll on our snowpack. Therefore, we will be closed tomorrow through Friday to preserve what we have left and to move snow around to make a more enjoyable ski/ride experience for everyone this weekend.

It looks like another wet day today, with some rain this morning. However, there might be a window mid-morning through the afternoon where these pesky showers will take a break. Lower Double Dipper and Upper Great Northern have some serious bare spots right now and will most likely have some walking required today. East Fall is the best skiing we’ve got right now so once you get into the Canyon that’s the lap to take. The groomers held off from laying down much cord due to the rain, but did do some patch work last night. Snow will be soft but it’s definitely an adventure to get around this late season.

Current open terrain can be accessed from the K-1 Gondola and Canyon Quad. Please check our Lifts & Trails Report for a full list of open terrain and groomed runs. Areas of thin cover and exposed dirt are present, and we are only offering advanced and expert terrain at this time. Beginner and intermediate terrain is no longer available due to late-season conditions, and Great Northern is no longer open from the bottom of the North Ridge Quad to the K-1 Base Area. Be sure to check for any operational changes, lift updates, or construction info, as we make our way deeper into spring.

See you on the slopes!
