Loveland Ski Patrol in action.
Loveland Ski Patrol in action.

Colorado’s Loveland Ski Area is home to some truly wild terrain. Off of Lift 9, skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of wide open bowls, serious chutes, and gnarly steeps. Plus the mountain’s free Ridge Cat take guests far up the ridge and those willing to hike can take things even further.

Of course opening what amounts to serious avalanche terrain takes a lot of work from the mountain’s ski patrol. Hiking, cornice removal, avalanche bombing, and much more, all to make sure their guests can enjoy some of Colorado’s best terrain. Cheer to the ski patrol for their hard work and commitment to a killer mountain.

Loveland Ski Area is set to keep the ski season going until May 11 and continues to offer skiing and snowboarding along the ridge. In fact, nearly every trail accessible off Lift 9 is still open, including several expert-only areas. Late season lift tickets cost $119 for adults.
