If you hate the concept of saying goodbye to skiing and snowboarding for the summer, there are a few options available to you. You could take a trip to the southern hemisphere and hit the slopes during their winter, you could hunt down an indoor ski hill with year-round operations, or you could head to Woodward Copper’s summer hike park.

The Summer Hike Park at Copper Mountain is set to return on June 6, running Fridays through Sundays until September 7 if conditions allow. Skiers and snowboarders will be able to access a series of rail features by foot for just $25 a day.

Copper is offering a new hike park season pass for $199 for those planning to hit the rails more than 8 times throughout the year. If you’re trying to keep your rail skills fresh or just want to have some fun on snow, the Hike Park is a great place to do it.

This summer will also feature two rail jam events on July 5 and Sept. 5, where athletes can come out, throw down, and compete in the heat of summer. Stay tuned for more information about Rail Jams.” – Copper Mountain

In addition to the hike park, Woodward Copper offers 10 weeks of on-snow summer camp for kids and two weeks for adults, plus a brand new mountain bike camp during weeks 8, 9 and 10 of summer camp season. Snowboarders Red Gerard, Jill Perkins and Danny Davis and skiers Alex Ferreira, Taylor Seaton and Tom Wallisch will be stopping by throughout the summer to work with campers.
