The Paris Marathon went down earlier this month with 56,950 runners flooding the streets of the stunning French city. 51% of the runners were first-time marathoners, 33% were international entrants, 31% were women, and the average age was 37 years and 4 months. The percentage of people who ran the marathon in ski boots seems like it should be zero, but thanks to Mike Humphreys it’s at least around 0.0018%.
Mike ran the marathon in what appears to be a pair of Tecnica Cochise. While the Cochise is a freeride touring boot, it has nowhere near the same range of motion as a proper touring boot (the Tecnica Zero G line is much better for walking).
It’s impressive work alone to run a marathon, let alone run a marathon in ski boots. Personally I wouldn’t want to run a mile in them. It’s hard to imagine the brutality of blisters that would result
