Skier lands big double air @ Tuckerman Ravine
Skier lands big double air @ Tuckerman Ravine

As spring arrives to the Northeast, skiers and snowboarders begin to make their annual pilgrimage to one of the most consequential zones easst of the Mississippi, Tuckerman Ravine.

The iconic glacial cirque located on the southeast face of Mount Washington in Hampshire’s White Mountains is renowned for its steep unforgiving face that forms an amphitheater-like bowl. Fitting that it is shaped like an amphitheater because on a busy day folks who aren’t actively skiing will all be faced in one direction, spectating the fates of those brave enough to tackle some of the more challenging features.

Tuckerman Ravine skiers can choose their own level of adventure and the skier featured in the video below opted for a risky double cliff line. With a speedy approach and no hesitation the skier aired the first drop and carried a ton of speed into the second. Once he was successfully skied away the crowd at the bottom erupted with approval.
