Montana Could Matthew Stafford be traded to the Raiders? It’s what people are wondering after two prominent football reporters shared news about two sporting legends meeting at a private ski resort.

Tom Brady, who was pretty good at football back in the day, is currently in the midst of his offseason after calling the Super Bowl for FOX Sports in New Orleans. He’s also a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, who endured a rough season. They are definitely in the market for a new quarterback.

Quarterback and future Hall of Famer Matthew Stafford is still playing in the league and had a solid season with the Los Angeles Rams. However, he’s in the twilight of his career, and the Rams fell short of their ultimate goal this past season. Ian Rapoport reported last weekend that the Rams gave Stafford permission to speak with other teams to assess his market value. Allegedly, one partial-owner pulled out all the stops for the quarterback.

FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz shared yesterday that Tom Brady recently hosted Stafford at the Yellowstone Club, a private ski resort in Montana. Tom likes to vacation there, and has had his share of adventures at the ski resort, including that time when he took on some big jumps. The two reportedly got some skiing in as well, as Tom tried to convince him to join *Chris Berman Voice* DA RAIDERS.

For those not in the know about the Montana ski resort, the Yellowstone Club is an exclusive club for its members and guests. The ski resort features 2900 skiable acres, 22 lifts, and a vertical drop of 2700 feet. It’s situated right next door to Big Sky Resort, so members at the Club can easily reach that ski resort as well. Residents at the Yellowstone Club include Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jennifer Lopez.

However, not every football insider was convinced by this Jordan Schultz report. Tom Pelissero reached out to Brady’s agent, who told him that Schultz’s reporting was inaccurate.

Ian Rapoport, who’s regarded as one of the top NFL reporters, also disputed Schultz’s report, claiming that the meeting was coincidental.

Schultz fired back, accusing Tom Pelissero and Rappaport of lying.

With these individuals being in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine, tensions were so bad that the Schultz and Rappaport reportedly had a verbal confrontation at a Starbucks. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, NFL Security was notified of this encounter, as there was fear that it could result in physical violence. Jerry, Jerry…

If you’re looking for an argument that Stafford’s visit was incidental and not brought forth by Tom, this wasn’t his first trip there. Kelly Stafford, Matthew Stafford’s wife, has posted in the past from the Yellowstone Club, so it’s not exactly a foreign place for them.

Still, it seems very possible that Brady is trying to lure Stafford to Vegas. Various teams appear to be interested in his talents though, and the Rams reportedly still want to find a way to keep Stafford. It’ll be one of the most interesting stories to monitor in what’s bound to be a drama-filled NFL offseason.
