Avalanche mitigation at Powder Mountain.
Avalanche mitigation at Powder Mountain.

Avalanche mitigation at resorts in a state like Utah, where heaps of snow fall every year and avalanche risks can be extreme, is a careful process. The ski patrol crew at Powder Mountain are out far earlier than almost anyone else after storms. They literally risk their lives to ensure that skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of the sweet Utah snow without risking theirs.

Ski Utah and Powder Mountain put together this short video documenting the early morning work of these crews. The video shows appreciation for the hard work that they do, making sure we can enjoy Powder Mountain.
