If you’ve ever been on a ski resort and thought to yourself, “oh man, I sure do wish this was owned and operated by the U.S. Army”, then I’ve got the ski area for you!
Victor Constant Ski Area is a small ski area located at the entrance gates of the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, offering skiers and snowboarders one chairlift and one cable tow to access a total of seven named runs. While small, the area is cherished by military families and the surrounding communities as it provides access to cheap, outdoor recreation during the winter.
Despite the small size, Victor Constant offers night skiing, 100% snowmaking, top-notch grooming, a terrain park, lodge/resort rentals, and much more. Plus lift tickets are cheap, costing just $495 for an unlimited season pass for the general public.
A day lift ticket for the authorized guests costs just $43 on weekends, while the general public can get on the mountain for just $39 on weekdays. Of course, the military discounts is where Victor Constant really tends to shine. Cadets, E1-E6 & Child tickets cost just $33 on weekdays, while all other DoD members can get a weekend lift ticket for just $39.
