Skiing on snow will always be fun, no matter the conditions (at least in my opinion), but knowing that a mountain has plenty of snow before getting there, knowing that your favorite areas are likely to be open, can make a day that much better.

Colorado has seen a solid amount of snow this year, and we’re hoping that trend continues or gets stronger. Some mountains have already seen a large amount of snowfall, though, and five resorts already have a snow base of more than four feet.

The five mountains are as follows:

Aspen Highlands: 50 inches

Steamboat Resort: 52 inches

Copper Mountain: 53 inches

Vail: 54 inches

Granby Ranch: 62.5 inches

As an honorable mention, Monarch Mountain is sitting right at 48 inches (4 feet) as of writing this, so I thought I’d mention it.
