Mikaela Shiffrin has been working hard to recover from a puncture injury she suffered after getting impaled by a ski pole during a giant slalom crash at Killington and has made a major step towards her eventual return to the World Cup circuit.
The double Olympic champion and winningest World Cup skier of all time finally got back on snow and started laying down turns.
“It was a successful on snow test. We did three runs, nothing crazy, but it was so fun.”
Her timeline to return to the World Cup is still unknown but this is massive step forward to that goal. So happy to see one of best to ever do it back on her skis!
