Identifying the most difficult ski runs in any area will always be a bit of a challenge. Some people are better at moguls while others are better at trees. Some people prefer groomers and some people prefer staying off-piste. But in North America, many trails have become quite famous for their difficulty. YouTuber mountainsight set out to rank the seven most difficult runs in North America.
Mountainsight’s list, as presented, is as follows:
- Rambo, Crested Butte, CO
- Paradise, Mad River Glenn, VT
- Paranoid 4, Mammoth Mountain, CA
- Pipeline Couloir, Snowbird, UT
- Tuckerman’s Ravine, Mount Washington, NH
- Corbet’s Couloir, Jackson Hole, WY
- The Fingers, Squaw Valley, CA
Again, it will always be a subjective list, and snow conditions can make a run significantly easier or significantly more difficult.
