A full brawl broke out in the Arapahoe Basin parking lot last week after two friends got into a heated argument.

According to the Summit County Justice Files, a man and his adult son were visiting a friend in Summit County when they took a trip to the ski area. The two men started to argue and then started to fight, leading the first man to lift the other into the air before both of them fell to the ground.

The second man fell on top of the first man, breaking his glasses and cutting his forehead. Then they fought over keys, and the second man threatened the first man with a snow shovel. Finally the adult son took possession of the shovel and the two men got into a wrestling match.

Things got broken up and the first man returned the keys before heading to Ski Patrol to get cleaned up. Neither men wanted to press charges, saying the fight was like “old times” and promising to manage their emotions better in the future.

Other interesting reports from the Justice Files between December 9-15 include an intoxicated man in Dillon Valley East attempting to get into the wrong apartment and fleeing when confronted, but not before he mistakenly put on a pair of the female apartment owner’s shoes. The woman did not intend to press any charges, but she did want her shoes back.

Additionally, a neighbor in Wildernest was caught on security camera stealing $40 worth of Door-Dashed food. The thief denied stealing anything before being shown the video, and then admitted to the theft and promised to reimburse the woman stolen from.
