An 8-year-old boy was airlifted to a Twin Cities area hospital after falling from a ski lift chair at Mount Ski Gull in Minnesota.

According to the Cass County Sheriff, a call to 911 came in around 6:24pm on Monday, December 16th, reporting that the child had fallen from a chair at the rural Nisswa ski area. The fall was around 30-40 feet.

Ski Gull Ski Patrol, Pillager Fire & Rescue, North Memorial Ambulance, and Life Link Helicopter all assistant at the scene, in addition to the Cass County Sheriff. The child’s condition is not known at this time.

Mount Ski Gull is a non-profit 501(c)(3) facility, relying on fundraising, grants, donations, partnerships, and volunteers, in addition to ski pass sales, to operate. The area offers season passes for just $180 for those aged 6-65.
