Climbing a 590 foot dam.

For several years now, Red Bull has hosted the intense Dual Ascent climbing competition, pitting 20 of the world’s best climbers from different disciplines against each other in 10 teams. Competitors battle their way up 180m-long identical artificial routes, all on the side of the Verzasca Dam in Ticino, Switzerland. It’s a truly wild sight.

Climbing partners Jessica Pilz and Jakob Schuman of Austria took the win this year, beating Switzerland’s Andrea Kumin and Sascha Lehmann up the brutal six pitches in the final competition. You can watch a full replay of the competition on Red Bull TV.
