Red Mountain Lodge new raven logo
Red Mountain Lodge new raven logo

Just ahead of its 64th season of operation, Red Lodge Mountain in Montana announced yesterday its refreshing its logo to better represent the resort’s beliefs, identity and how they want to be perceived.

Red Lodge has done away with the stylized representation of the Beartooth Mountains that used to serve as their official logo and adopted a geometric raven. The new logo is meant to reflect the brickwork of the buildings in town, the shape of the mountain range and the “upward movement of freedom.”

What our logo represents:

“Behold the raven, ubiquitous in the mountains, it’s as down-to-earth a creature as can be found in these parks.

Yet at the same time, the raven is a clever and resourceful bird with a wingspan that can stretch four feet, allowing it to soar. Accompanied by hand-cut type, our stylized raven combines wild nature and proud culture, making it a ruggedly graphic symbol of Red Lodge Mountain.

Inspired by the shape of the raven, the pattern of brickwork on the town buildings, the shapes of the mountain range, and the upward movement of freedom.”
