Congratulations to Wolf Creek Ski Area who kicked off their 85th year of winter operations yesterday and secured the sought after prize of being the first ski resort in Colorado to offer lift-serviced skiing for the 2024/2025 season!
Wolf Creek was able to open up early due to a recent 26 inches of snowstorm. Conditions are machine-groomed and variable off-piste with early season conditions and unmarked obstacles. They are now open 7-days a week.
Wolf Creek Ski Area is open for the 2024-2025 ski season with 7-day-a-week operations!
The Bonanza, Treasure, and Nova Lifts are operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Today, Wednesday, October 23rd, giving access to roughly 40% of the mountain. The Magic Carpet is open for the Wolf Pup & Wolf Rider Programs.
Uphill traffic is discouraged at this time due to heavy equipment and snow-making operations. Lobo Overlook is a great alternative for skiers and snowboarders looking to earn their turns.
Wolf Creek’s current snow depth is 17 inches at the midway. Conditions are spring-like and variable off-piste with early season conditions and unmarked obstacles. There will be limited grooming throughout the mountain. The year-to-date snowfall is 26 inches. Machine-groomed trails can be found on the grooming report page here. As usual, with more snow and winter conditions, more terrain and lifts will open.
