Valle Nevado, Chile celebrates 143 day ski season

Cheers to Valle Nevado in Chile who are finally closing up shop this weekend after one the longest seasons in the ski resort’s 36 years of operation. An early season influx of snow allowed Valle Nevado to open two weeks ahead of schedule and its been running strong ever since. All told, they got 23 feet of snow throughout the winter which was enough to tack on additional two weeks of spring skiing.

“This season has been a standout, and we owe much of our success to the hard work of our team and the ongoing support of our partners at Ikon Pass, Power Pass and Mountain Collective. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this year one of the most memorable in Valle Nevado’s history.” -Ricardo Margulis, General Manager of Valle Nevado
