ALBERTA – Banff Sunshine Village Ski Resort saw a healthy amount of snowfall over the past few days, with the resort’s snow stake reading around 4 inches of snow (~10cm). With snow on the ground and the season coming up, work on the resort’s new six-pack chairlift looks to be coming along smooth. Through this week, crews are working to get all 74 new heated bubble chairs onto Super Angel, making for quite the view when the snow hit the ground.
Banff Sunshineโs new Super Angel will be aย EVO six-passenger heated luxury chairlift. It’s set to feature footrests and a yellow bubble cover to protect guests from the elements, in addition to the heated chairs themselves. The 35-year-old Angel Express chairlift that once sat where Super Angel will now operate was removed in May.
The new Super Angel is set to open during the 2024/25 ski season, while the old Angel Express will be relocated to Castle Mountain Resort during theย 2025/26 ski season.ย Banff Sunshine Village does not yet have a set opening date, but they seem to be shooting for early-November.
