Danny MacAskill got the keys to the adidas global HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany and used it as a canvas for his creative approach to riding. Danny has been with adidas for over 10 years and has been plotting how to best take advantage of its unique features in the numerous trips he has made to the head office for team meeting and product testing.
“The first time I got the invite to campus I immediately started riding the place in my mind. Riding all the rooftops, riding all the railings, you know, it’s a really interesting space. Not just anyone can go there! As soon as you see that kind of big overhanging piece of architecture or whatever, you immediately imagine the different things you could do up there. So, it was cool to finally get to come here to actually do it.” – Danny MacAskill
The distinct structure Danny rides at the end of the video is called The HALFTIME building and was designed by the architecture firm COBE out of Denmark. The building’s roof is a 8,650-square-meter rhomboid roof constructed of V-shaped concrete beams covered in glass. One third of the roof is covered in skylights providing abundant natural light to the expansive interior. Really neat building, LEARN MORE HERE.
