BRITISH COLUMBIA – Unlike skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking is incredibly difficult to do without pre-determined and built trails. Rocks, roots, and other obstacles mean you usually need to plan or build your route ahead of time. But if you can find some good massive smooth slabs, there’s no reason to not cook off trail.
Professional mountain biker Mark Matthews (@markymath) flew into a remote area of British Columbia in search of some of the biggest rideable rock slabs in the world. It’s a 30 minute long vlog, but it’s all riding in some of the wildest backcountry terrain you’ll ever see.
“This was the most insane backcountry MTB experience of my life! There’s so much I could say, but I’ll let the video speak for itself. A big thanks to Ian at www.flowstateguiding.com for being our leader through this expansive granite paradise.“
