BOZEMAN, Montana – Bridger Bowl Ski Area in Bozeman, Montana, is one of three winners of Region 8’s 2024 Regional Pollution Prevention Recognition Awards from the Environmental Protection Agency. The award highlights companies that demonstrate leadership in innovative pollution prevention practices.
At Bridger Bowl, the award celebrates their use of LED and motion-activated lighting, an on-site 50 kW solar array, and their free transit and carpool incentivizing program. Additionally, the EPA recognizes the ski area’s replacement of petroleum-based ski wax (which contains PFAS) with the WEND plant based waxes. These projects save a total of 76.3 Metric Tons of CO2 annually, in addition to over $9,000 in annual cost savings.

The two other winners of Region 8’s 2024 Regional Pollution Prevention Recognition Awards were Revvity of Lafayette, Colorado and Breckenridge Grand Vacations of Breckenridge, Colorado.
