California/Nevada — If you plan to visit Lake Tahoe someday, there are some things you should know before visiting.

In a recent video by Yellow Productions, the popular travel YouTuber describes seven things to know before you go. His seven things to know included an overview of the lake, an orientation of the towns, getting into Tahoe, getting around the area, when to visit, where to stay, and where to eat.

One thing I want to elaborate on from the video is when he talks about everyone needing snow chains or traction devices during snowstorms. This is only for when it’s under Requirement Level 3 (i.e., the craziest snowstorms). Level 2 does require chains, but not for AWD vehicles. This tire information is only relevant if you plan to visit in winter or early spring.
