LAKE TAHAOE, California – If you’re considering becoming a ski patroller this upcoming winter, give this video a watch. Nordica took the time to highlight the life of a ski patroller with Andi Bertolina, who works at Heavenly, this past winter (though it was filmed the winter prior). They talk the process of becoming a well-rounded, experienced patroller through years of work.
“Follow us as we showcase a day and the life of Heavenly Ski Patrol professional Andi Bertolina. She shares her journey to becoming a female patroller and what her goals and aspirations are as she continues to develop her career.“
Andi’s life working at ski resorts started as a ticket scanner, but after realizing that patrollers get to ski the most of any employee on the mountain, she moved towards that field. It was not a quick or easy process to get where she is in this video, and she’d been working as a patroller for 5 years at that point. But with hard work and high responsibility comes some serious skiing.
If you’re interesting in working at Heavenly this upcoming ski season, or any Vail owned ski resort, you can look through their job lists and apply online.
