Southern lights over Australia's Mt Buller.

MT BULLER, Australia – Australian ski resort Mt. Buller shared some stunning images of the aurora captured with their mountain live camera. Obviously since Mt. Buller is in the southern hemisphere, these images were of the Aurora Australis, or the southern lights, rather than the aurora borealis.

Coronal mass ejections have made both the northern skies and the southern skies dance in the past few nights, with the lights becoming visible at some northern U.S. ski areas last night. The Aurora at Mt. Buller was visible for several hours throughout the night last night, so take a look at the camera and check out a few different hours. There are some stunning views.

Pretty special view of the Aurora last night captured on the Pendergast cam! Did you see it? It hung around for a couple hours – go back in time and check it out
