WHISTLER, British Columbia – Like many ski resorts, Whistler Blackcomb keeps lifts spinning throughout the summer for hikers and (for some lifts) bikers. Sometimes that also includes some summer skiing in the high alpine, but this year, skis and snowboards are not aloud on the lifts during the warm months. YouTuber Rise & Alpine grew tired of waiting for winter to return, though, so he snuck some “skis” to the top of the mountain in search of some warm weather runs.
“I was getting tired of hiking my skis up to the snow line. Come with me as I take advantage of a Vail Resorts sightseeing loophole and enjoy some Whistler Blackcomb chairlift laps in August.“
If you’re interested in riding the lifts of Whistler this summer, but not skiing, you can order a summer alpine experience ticket here.
