Inspired by the performances our women’s gymnastics team including Simone Biles who took the gold medal in women’s all-around (that floor routine is out of this world) the athletics attempted to pull off “Wolf Turns” a skill performed on the balance beam and floor exercises.
Successfully spinning a wolf turn relies on a delicate balance of mass and inertia, something skiers and snowboarders are well acquainted with. The center of mass must remain over the supporting foot and its incredibly difficult.

Wolf turns are valued highly for difficulty with double wolf turn rated as a D-level skill and a triple wolf turn as an E-level skill on both beam and floor. Believe it or not, Simone Biles can spin a wolf turn 6 times. I’m still have difficulty wrapping my head around this. Simply unbelievable:
