Welcome to the world of Megavalanche, a legendary mountain bike race down a ski resort in France where all the competitors start at the same time and the first one to make to the bottom is declared the winner. Each year legions of riders line up at the top of L’Alpe d’Huez Ski Resort (elevations 10925 feet) in Southern France and anxiously wait for the horn signaling the start. From there its an all out sprint descending 8530 feet of variable terrain including snow, slippery rocks, jumps, drops and corners. Its a wild ride:
