Great news for all you budget minded Vermont skiers and snowboards, Jay Peak Ski Resort just announced they are freezing or reducing prices on a wide range of options and services as a way of trying to help people struggling with the impacts of inflation.
“We might not be able to fix this issue ourselves, but we’re going to try and make getting here and enjoying yourself as easy as possible this season through the Mission Affordability program. While Jay Peak is in the business of staying in business, the resort acknowledges the broader economic indices like inflation. If it is hurting Jay Peak, it is also hurting its guests.” –Steve Wright, General Manager
WMTW reports he folks at Jay have witnessed the effects of inflation on their guests who are struggling with rising costs of essentials but still want to do outdoor activities. This winter Jay Peak will freeze or reduce prices on all lift ticket windows. There will also be price freezes or reductions on other things like cafeteria specials, waterpark admissions, certain lodging packages, food and beverage items, golf rounds and ski and ride school programming. Throughout the summer resort officials will announce additional freezes and cost reductions.
“Our hope is that pause on cost escalations and outright reductions in some areas gives the market a chance to catch its breath while we wait for inflation to abate. Our shared goal is to make visiting Jay Peak and all its amenities as accessible as possible and for as many people as possible.” –Steve Wright, General Manager
