It’s nearly the middle of June. Summer officially starts next week. Many of you might have your mind on things far away from skiing. But not us. Not the committed. Not the strong. Two resorts are still open in the United States, and that means we’re still excited about skiing.

Arapahoe Basin

Colorado’s Arapahoe Basin will reopen for its last weekend of the season on Friday, June 14. From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday-Sunday, skiers and snowboarders will be able to take advantage of the mountain’s remaining snow. Closing day, including a party on the mountain, is Sunday, June 16. Make sure to bring a sweet costume, good vibes, and plenty of sunscreen.

Timberline Lodge

The summer party is going strong on Mount Hood in Oregon, with Timberline Lodge running access to the Palmer Snowfield as late as they possibly can. Lift access via Palmer express typically runs until September, though a fair portion of the area will be taken up by ski and snowboard camps throughout the week. There will always be public lanes available, though.
