COLORADO – Ever wondered whaat it looks like to plow a mountain pass at 12,000 feet? Wonder no more! Michael Underwood shared this clip of a plow working its way along Engineer Pass in southwest Colorado.
Engineer Pass is along the Alpine Loop, a predominately off-roading road/four wheel drive route, so don’t plan on driving it with your dinky two wheel drive car. The route takes drivers from Lake City to Silverton, to just near Ouray, and back to Lake City. Driving it typically takes around four to six hours, and it’s 63 miles in total.
